Hemisphere is a rap song strongly reminiscent of the early 90s hip hop music. It is a twofold semantic homage to Nas – The World is Yours and Nas – Halftime (one of which was produced by Large Professor, who also produced this song) and a reference to lyrics being half Dutch & half English.
Conceptually we used the semantics of the hemispheres of the human brain and the earth. I incorporated this concept in the intro, split-screen editing and the giant-size globe in the back of one of the scenes.
